History: When he was but 8 years old his parents immigrated from the north. Broce was born on a far northern mountains where he grew up under the tutelage of his mother, an expert Bellfounder. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Layabout they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. He worked as a Bellfounder, and he later adopted a second daughter.

History: Born in the west to a Server, Shifting learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Server hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He has achieved small success as a Server.

Motivation: He feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help; and he has comitted a past crime that haunts him to this day
