When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Marshal hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

Personality: He can speak with the dead, and doesn't see much difference between the living and dead. He is a thrill seeker, he laughs at people and throws down challenges. He is highly competitive and combative.

History: Trained by his father for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. In the meantime he has taken over work as a Navigator and occasionally as a mercenary.

Description: This western man is abnormally tall. He prefers to wear black pants and tee shirts. His whole body is exceptionally muscular. He wears his auburn hair up. He wears large thick round spectacles.

Personality: He considers himself the perfect gentleman. He makes a point to always show proper etiquette and frequently critiques the etiquette of others. He is terrible with names forgetting people's names several times before they finally stick; this causes him no end of embarrassment.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when giants swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. In his 12th year, his parents were killed by a giants raid, leaving Umpen alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by giants. Umpen was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the giants.
