History: He was born on a small isolated farm. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. He was granted arcane powers by his dying sister.

History: He comes from a rich northern family. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage.
