History: Balam lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Tieflings in the south were limited. He has never given up on his poetry dream.

Personality: He is quiet and anti-social and can barely make it a few minutes in conversation before his hampering stammer kicks in. He is susceptible to being scared and is in actuality easily frightened. He likes to tell stories.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. He inherited a moderately successful company from his father. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He tends to his Ruler job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

Motivation: To find somewhere to settle down; and he is terrified, and will act out of fear
