History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Moon was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He has had some formal writing training, and achieved minor success. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: Nutae speaks confidently about a variety of topics with grace. He is clearly well-traveled and educated. Nutae enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. At a young age both his parents were killed in an accident. His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.

Personality: He is not truly malevolent, but he is obsessed with writing. He constantly tries to fill his life with writing. He is lazy and tries to find solutions quickly.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He hasn't been sleeping well lately.

Motivation: To find somewhere to settle down; and he is content

History: Heward was raised in a hard working conservative environment. When the war came and ruined his parents he was left adrift. He was a hard man then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. He now owns his own business.

Motivation: A strong sense of loyalty to Half-Elven people.
