History: The child of northern immigrants he idolized his mother. Being born in the north, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.

Motivation: He is unsatisfied with his job; and obtaining odd cultural human artifacts is his passion

History: His mother raised him in a mountain cabin. His parents were killed by drow in a raid when he was still a young child. The drow captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by drow. Hugh was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the drow.
