Personality: He can speak with the recently deceased. He will do just about anything if he becomes convinced it is for someone's true love, of this he is easily convinced.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. When he was little, his rather wealthy family often ventured across the island to a summer home near a ruined castle. He would wander through that ruined castle and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and he was stranded inside. His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the island due to the painful memories there. Burgell took refuge in the ruined castle and found the beat up shield and armor he uses now. He has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Butcher. He hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

Personality: He is quiet and reserved most of the time, but warms up to people very quickly. Around friends he is liable to tell dirty jokes and enjoy himself. When he's not drinking or sleeping the drinks off, he's doing painting.

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He's also a talented Tailor, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and further expansion of business

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Hupe embodies much of what other species detest in the Halflings. He is very protective of his business, his home, and his spouse. He is willing to work with less than legal methods but maintains the front of legitimacy.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The father sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his father's willingness to do anything to win. He now mingles about in high society.

Motivation: He is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions; and money/treasure

Personality: He trusts no one. He is not readily capable for forgiveness and his ire never leaves him. He claims to be unscrupulous but at the end of the day he will do what he thinks is right.

History: Warryn lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered writing. He has never given up on his writing dream.

Motivation: To reunite with his absent father; and marry his brother to traveling adventurers
