History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. In his 14th year, his parents were killed by a brigands raid, leaving Baern alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Cloud lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. At a young age both his parents were killed in an accident. His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Bather they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. He worked as a Roofer, and he later adopted a second daughter.

Personality: Robert speaks confidently about a variety of topics with grace. He is clearly well-traveled and educated. He is often prim and proper but will on occasion tell either really disgusting or offensive jokes, which seem out of character.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Robert was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a daughter. Some 3 years later his spouse died after the birth of his daughter. Heartbroken, Robert never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his daughter whom he trained as his mother had trained him before.
