Personality: He hates gnolls. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. He is lazy, self-centered, vain, and jealous.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. In his 17th year, his parents were killed by a gnolls raid, leaving Baern alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by gnolls. Baern was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright.
