History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. In his 13th year, his parents were killed by a brigands raid, leaving Chem alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. Some 8 years later his spouse died after the birth of his son. Heartbroken, Chem never married again.
