Heian's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 5 years.

After coming to the age of reason, Gell took it upon himself to study the arcane arts in their entirety; because of this, he was labeled a dark omen and banished from his homeland. He now spends his time doing works of charity.

Motivation: Many goblins want him driven away; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by goblins, and he desires to right it
