History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his mother and father. His mother taught him the rudiments of the Stableman arts, while his father instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. His homeland was ravaged by war and he spent much of his life rebuilding it. He has achieved small success as a Healer.

Motivation: He doesn't get along with people that don't share his tastes.

Personality: He never swears and excessively uses polite adverbs when speaking. He does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of illithids may trigger it at times.

History: Trym hails from a village terrorized by illithids. His parents were killed by illithids in a raid when he was still a young child. The illithids captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Retire the richest man in the south; and wants to work out more often

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Ortegar embodies much of what other species detest in the Halflings. He cannot resist a sob story and will often dote over anyone who has one.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. Being born in the north, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way east. By chance he met his sister recently and the two have been together since.
