History: He was born in the south. A gifted student he started as a Barkeep, but he got bored and became a Unemployed. He has worked as a Unemployed like his mother before him.

He refers to his adoptive father for almost all things he is unsure about, which are numerous. He is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, River was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. After coming to the age of reason, River took it upon himself to study the necromantic arts in their entirety; because of this, he was labeled a dark omen and banished from his homeland. He has since lost track of the people in his past.
