History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. He made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature pickaxe.

Motivation: A rival would like him out of the picture; and he is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions

Personality: He hates drow. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. He will do just about anything if he becomes convinced it is for someone's true love, of this he is easily convinced.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Aelar grew up listening to his mother's many stories. Through the years after Aelar was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Aelar's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. After a long history of fighting, Aelar and his spouse have recently divorced.
