History: The child of eastern immigrants he idolized his father. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Half-Elves in Hugh's homeland. Hugh decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

He has the money to obtain near anything and knows that if you pay a man enough he will sell his own mother. Money is his most trusted friend.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Efferil was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He inherited a moderately successful company from his mother. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.
