History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. In his 12th year, his parents were killed by a drow raid, leaving Theren alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: He wants revenge against drow; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by drow, and he desires to right it

History: Born in the east to a Apothecary, Thradal learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Apothecary work with an outfit from a few towns over. Apothecary work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.
