He was a general practitioner in the east for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

History: He was born on a small isolated farm. There was a wharf not far from home where he often wandered off to fish. He has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

Personality: He shows great sympathy to all travelers. He's the type to buy drinks and listen to their stories. He has a taste for the finer things and spends a great deal of money on luxuries, some more exotic than others.

History: Trained by his father for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. His father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Carter. He hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.
