History: River lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His father disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his father, he was betrayed dozens of times. By chance he met his sister recently and the two have been together since.

Motivation: Marry his sister to traveling adventurers; and his spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion

Personality: Cocky and sure of himself, he believes he is the best Courier born in the past three hundred years. He is obsessed with finding treasure.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Courier hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Courier for hire.

Motivation: Wants to open a new tavern; and further expansion of business

Personality: Deceptive and manipulative this eastern guy figured out how to best use his charms to convince people to do what he wants. Only to laugh say gotcha and shoot double pistol fingers at the fooled target.

History: Roger was raised in a hard working conservative environment. While he appears to be a normal Half-Elf, he's... not quite right. Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 5 years.

Motivation: His relatives are trying to arrange a marriage; and regain custody of his daughter

History: A child with a great deal of poetry talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. A few years later when the south was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Roofer for hire.

Motivation: A deep hatred of brigands; and many brigands want him driven away
