History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.

History: Zook lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

Motivation: An old rival family wants him found.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when giants swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. He has worked as a Butcher like his father before him.

Motivation: Seeks redemption; and several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge
