Personality: He is not truly malevolent, but he is obsessed with painting. He constantly tries to fill his life with painting. He is terrible with names forgetting people's names several times before they finally stick; this causes him no end of embarrassment.

History: He got into the Ploughman business at a young age. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered painting. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Ploughman for the past few years.

Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic man, Quarion's first love is himself. His second love is also himself. He is submissive, is generally bored by everything, but will take part in whatever people ask of him. He is by nature obliging.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. At some point he was captured by goblins and was tortured. After several years of this he finally managed to escape. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to goblins demanding more tribute than usual.

History: William hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. Because his mother participated in the massacre of their homeland, dire rats burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. He was preparing to flee to the east, but the outbreak of war prevented him and his father from journeying east to reunite his family. He now spends his time doing works of charity.

Motivation: A deep hatred of dire rats; and to be a junk dealer again

Personality: He can speak with the recently deceased. He is fiercely devoted to his father, and views his father's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-sister.

History: His psionic talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, his parents had him trained. In his formative years he discovered how persuasive he was. He began using that to his advantage selling useless wares at inflated prices. By chance he met his sister recently and the two have been together since.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister.
