History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the east. He found a children's book about a Elf Monk who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

Motivation: He has a crush on the local Carter; and he made a deal with a demon which lead to his current lot in life, and he's becoming increasingly nervous about it

Personality: He has two modes he varies between. On the job he is cold, steely and emotionless. Off the job he is a party animal. He is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure he is not cheated out of a speck.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Spice Merchant. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Expand his business; and balancing his hectic life and new spice merchant responsibilities is difficult

Personality: Cocky and sure of himself, he believes he is the best Mortician born in the past three hundred years. He does not mind isolation but does not hate company and attempts to receive them as best as possible.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Bulzo was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Mortician for hire.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Mortician responsibilities is difficult; and he'd like to take his coworkers down a peg

Personality: He runs his personal life as if detached from it. He organizes appointments and outings based on perceived benefits he will get from it. He is a big fan of imagination and believes people should spend more time reading and writing.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. Through the years after Halander was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Halander's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.
