Personality: He has schizophrenia that causes him to hear things that aren't there and will sometimes respond to them. He does not trust anyone and sleeps with one eye open.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. He inherited a moderately successful company from his mother. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He now mingles about in high society.

Description: He wears a white coat over a black low-cut shirt, and a wide-brimmed hat upon his head, but does not cut a very imposing figure. He walks with a slouch but will stand straight to his full 5'7" when asserting himself. His brown hair is cut short. He wears an eyepatch.

Personality: He believes there is no problem he cannot solve with sufficient elbow grease and persistence, if it is the best or most economic solution matters not. He cannot deal with unfamiliar people for more than a few minutes at a time and if they persist he will grow angry at them.

History: He was born in the west. His psionic abilities were realized during a raid on his village. He left for the west, certain he would find work there.

Description: He is in excellent shape and likes to wear ponchos typically of a light green in addition to tight pants. His white hair is greying along the sides and has receded to reveal a widow's peak. His green unseeing eyes seem to look past you.

Personality: He is intelligent and cunning, but he will too often allow his rage to get the better of him. He will lose his cool and rely on brute force to carry the day. His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Resh is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: Born in the south to a Bather, Resh learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. A few years later when the north was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

Description: This younger middle-aged man wears an old set of leather armor, nicked and torn by the ravages of time and battle, and a wedding ring on his left hand. He has a long golden beard with little hanging trinkets. His eyes are likewise brown.

Personality: Cocky and sure of himself, he believes he is the best Layabout born in the past three hundred years. Umpen is a bit of a follower. Usually he is manipulated by his brothers into helping them out, but recently he has become more of a free agent.

History: When he was but 4 years old his parents immigrated from the east. Being born in the east, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the east for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Layabout for hire.

Motivation: He is unsatisfied with his job; and his relatives are trying to arrange a marriage
