Personality: A deeply religious man he believes everything happens for a reason. He is obsessed with a lost civilization.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. Through the years after Shamash was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Shamash's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He is searching for what he claims is his rightful reward.

Motivation: He is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out.

Personality: He likes to brag about his accomplishments and constantly tries to beat others to the punch. He is able to fit into much smaller and tighter spaces than normal.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when illithids swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. In his 12th year, his parents were killed by a illithids raid, leaving Tim alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: His religion dominates his actions; and revenge

Description: A middle-aged man, he wears an entirely blue suit with white socks and a vest with buckled shoes, and is pretty ugly. His black hair is greasy and uncared for. His amber eyes peer out from beneath his feathered blue hat.

Personality: He believes there is no problem he cannot solve with sufficient elbow grease and persistence, if it is the best or most economic solution matters not. The war was a terrible time for him, and Frug does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army.
