Personality: Friendly and accommodating he would invite many more into his home than his spouse would be comfortable with if they did not express concern about it. Paelias is a bit of a follower. Usually he is manipulated by his sisters into helping them out, but recently he has become more of a free agent.

History: Paelias lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His mother disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his mother, he was betrayed dozens of times. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

Personality: While he acts the brute, he is far gentler than he would appear. He has a minor phobia of water and hates getting wet.

History: Berrian was born in the east. At a young age he loved to build and create. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.

Motivation: He is wracked by social anxiety.

Personality: He is shy and timid. He has not had much interaction with people and is skittish around them. He will pursue extreme courses of action in the short term, confident that they cannot fail.

History: The child of northern immigrants he idolized his father. He always admired divine-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: Retire the richest man in the north; and to prove his worth to the world
