History: Born to a Knight, his mother struggled to pay the bills. Through the years after Boddynock was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Boddynock's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. In his 14th year, his parents were killed by a illithids raid, leaving Gerald alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge.
