History: Faran hails from a village terrorized by illithids. In his 18th year, his parents were killed by a illithids raid, leaving Faran alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
