The drow captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to drow demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. Since then, he has sought to make the best of life.

History: His father raised him in a mountain cabin. He found a children's book about a Dwarf Monk who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He became a Guard soon after.
