History: Born in the south to a Engraver, Conrad learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He tends to his Engraver job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Engraver responsibilities is difficult; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions
