His voice is smooth and creepy, always level, but somehow just slightly unnerving.

Personality: This man loves writing and to teach people writing more than just about anything. He plays an instrument quite well.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. He has had some formal writing training, and achieved minor success. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.

History: Damien lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

Motivation: To reunite with his absent father.

History: He was born in the north, but his parents moved at a very young age to the west. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Fortune-teller. He has set out to sabotage the competition.
