Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic man, Ront's first love is himself. His second love is also himself. He has all his life been fascinated with poetry.

History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Ront was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: Kothûg was born with his mother's beautiful face. His first spouse was a Merchant, they had one daughter, but his spouse won total custody. Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. He has dedicated himself to building a better trade route.

Personality: He does not believe in betrayal or weakness as things to be tolerated. He loves his children and doesn't want them to worry about him. He loves to share his writing with anyone who is interested.

History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. His father disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his father, he was betrayed dozens of times. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.

Motivation: An old rival family wants him found; and his spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion
