History: Born in the west to a Guard, Gilbert learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. At a young age both his parents were killed in an accident. His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. He has achieved small success as a Guard.

Motivation: A rival would like him out of the picture.

Personality: He is erratic and paranoid. He believes brigands are coming to abduct people. He can see the true alignment of people by looking at them, and uses this to pass judgement.

History: Jak was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his father was employed at, doing general labor. In his youth he was part of a gang. He got caught, but did not rat out his comrades and served his time in prison. He would ruin relationships and cause injury. He was reprimanded several times before being given his current form and forced to learn humility.

Motivation: He has decided he is irredeemable.
