History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered singing. Some 7 years later his spouse died after the birth of his daughter. Heartbroken, Qualen never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his daughter whom he trained as his father had trained him before.
