He spent his days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent his evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Rathkran decided he wanted neither the life of his mother nor that of the evil petty criminals he associated with. During his early adolescence, he took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.

Motivation: Further expansion of business; and to be a bookbinder again

Personality: While he is on the job, he is grim and serious. He understands how dangerous the world is and the need to stay safe. He loves being with his children and actually smiles when they are around. He would do anything for them. He dislikes his ex a great deal.

History: Peren hails from a village terrorized by brigands. His mother was very strict, and drilled into him lessons on being the perfect gentleman. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

Motivation: To unite with his sister; and his spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion
