History: Aelar lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His mother disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his mother, he was betrayed dozens of times. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

Personality: He is quite rude, and likes to deride his opponents skill and shout insults at them. He keeps company with all sorts of races to see how they think and challenge minds foreign to his own.

History: He was born on a small isolated farm. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. He was granted arcane powers by his dying sister.

Personality: He is shy and timid. He has not had much interaction with people and is skittish around them. He receives visions of the future at random moments

History: Rurik was raised in a hard working conservative environment. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: He has money and likes to spend it.
