History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the east. He worked as a nervous Bookbinder and found it very stressful. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Dilettante they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. He worked as a Bookbinder, and he later adopted a second daughter.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother; and balancing his hectic life and new bookbinder responsibilities is difficult

History: Brug lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His father worked until he suffered an accident while they were digging through a hill for a new route. He had to support his now crippled father and took his father's old job. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

Motivation: His spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion.

Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. He loves teas. He is very sensitive about his face. To blow off anger he lifts weights and to control his otherwise explosive temper he works out a lot.

History: He got into the Stylist business at a young age. Through the years after Aldous was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Aldous's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Stylist for the past few years.
