Personality: Cocky and sure of himself, he believes he is the best Masseuse born in the past three hundred years. The war was a terrible time for him, and Umpen does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: The child of northern immigrants he idolized his father. Through the years after Umpen was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Umpen's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Masseuse responsibilities is difficult.

One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and he was stranded inside. His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the mountains due to the painful memories there. Gnarsh took refuge in the ruined castle and found the beat up ceremonial dagger and armor he uses now. He has became unsatisfied with his lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.
