History: When he was but 4 years old his parents immigrated from the south. Faran was born on a far southern mountains where he grew up under the tutelage of his father, an expert Ruler. He was granted arcane powers by his dying sister.

History: He comes from a rich northern family. He found a children's book about a Gnome Bard who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.
