Personality: Confrontational and typically high on some drug or another. He never wears the same outfit twice, unless he absolutely has to.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. A freak accident while working with his Scribe mother left him crippled. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and meet up once more with his childhood friend

History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. In his 14th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Efferil alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and he is content
