History: The child of a Dyer, who enjoyed hunting, Halander was taken on many hunting expeditions. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered poetry. He now mingles about in high society.

Personality: He is business-like. He takes instructions and follows them to the letter. He is fiercely devoted to his mother, and views his mother's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-brother.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Servant. He has achieved small success as a Servant.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Servant responsibilities is difficult; and to reunite with his absent mother

Personality: He is a pretentious jerk insisting that modern society is full of problems and should revert to a simpler time. More though he will beg to come along on any journeys. He will attempt to stowaway on any ship he can in the hopes that it will get him further away.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the south were limited. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

Motivation: Retire the richest man in the south.

Personality: While he acts the brute, he is far gentler than he would appear. He also has developed a complete distrust of the Tanner profession.

History: He was born in the south, but his parents moved at a very young age to the north. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Soapmaker.

Motivation: He is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs.
