History: Shamash hails from a village terrorized by drow. Being born in the south, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the south for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. Recently he has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by drow, and he desires to right it

History: Born to a Guard, his father struggled to pay the bills. He was an apprentice working in his father's forge. He has worked as a Servant like his father before him.

Motivation: To find somewhere to settle down; and his spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion

His fair skin shows little sign of his aristocratic breeding.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Darrow embodies much of what other species detest in the Halflings. He believes the world needs to unite to get rid of goblins once and for all.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to goblins demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Wants to work out more often.

History: A powerful slaver made him what he is. His father was a soldier and died while he was still young. Aelar was left his father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and elven compassion
