History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. In his 17th year, his parents were killed by a drow raid, leaving Sapply alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to drow demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by drow, and he desires to right it

History: Born the oldest of a large religious eastern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.
