When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Locksmith hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. Being a Locksmith kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

History: Born in the west to a Bookbinder, Lamlis learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. He was an apprentice working in his mother's forge. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature halberd.
