When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Detective hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: To pay off his debts; and he made a deal with a demon which lead to his current lot in life, and he's becoming increasingly nervous about it

Personality: He is almost excessively polite to everyone, even when angry. He is fiercely devoted to his mother, and views his mother's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-sister.

History: His father raised him in a mountain cabin. Being born in the east, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the east for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: His spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion.

History: Spear hails from a village terrorized by brigands. He worked as a nervous Shipwright and found it very stressful. He now owns his own business.

Description: This slender man stands about 5'7". He is generally shirtless and showing off his tattooed chest. He keeps his chestnut hair in a flapper bob. His voice is smooth and creepy, always level, but somehow just slightly unnerving.

Personality: He is a pretentious jerk insisting that modern society is full of problems and should revert to a simpler time. He can see the true alignment of people by looking at them, and uses this to pass judgement.

History: He was born into a rich family. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.
