One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. He was taken from his home at a very young age. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Personality: He misses his glory days as an athlete. He does not mind his job, but it is boring in comparison. He keeps company with all sorts of races to see how they think and challenge minds foreign to his own.

History: Dimble was raised in a hard working conservative environment. Before the accident, he was one of the most outspoken anti-Gnomish activists. He was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Gnomish doctor. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Layabout for the past few years.

Motivation: Gnomish compassion; and a strong sense of loyalty to gnomish people

Personality: Eccentric and domineering, Ozyman will drive conversation. He moves from fascination to fascination almost instantaneously. If something can keep his interest for a month it is impressive.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Courier hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He is content; and he seems to be bored by most things
