History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when illithids swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. He married young, but lost his spouse to illithids. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: Rivaan was raised in a hard working conservative environment. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He became a Miner soon after.
