Description: This exceptionally lanky man likes to wear black tank tops with white pants. His brown hair has been sun bleached extensively. He wears crescent spectacles with a black brim.

Personality: He fancies himself a trickster and likes to rely on his wits to carry the day. He cares for his older siblings and likes to be recognized by them. He is stubborn though. He always likes to keep a trick up his sleeve. He likes to fight dirty and will kick and punch below the belt if he feels he even has a chance of losing.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Aramil grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Aramil. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Personality: He does not believe in betrayal or weakness as things to be tolerated. He dislikes loud distracting noises, but is overall hospitable. His biggest love is that of knowledge and as such will purchase any books or pay to listen to tales that travelers might have.

History: Trained by his father for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. As a young adult he joined a group advocating for an improvement in Elven conditions. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: To share knowledge with the world; and a strong sense of loyalty to elven people

Personality: He resents people who mock his appearance or him, so he has learned to be the meanest son of a gun. He is obsessed with a lost civilization.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when gnolls swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions.

Personality: This man loves writing and to teach people writing more than just about anything. He takes great joy in being the best Gardener in town.

History: Nicor hails from a village terrorized by illithids. He has had some formal writing training, and achieved minor success. He now owns his own business.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Gardener responsibilities is difficult; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and he desires to right it
