History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when drow swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. Through the years after Duergath was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Duergath's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to drow demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and he is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs

He was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Dragonborn doctor. He has since married many spouses, only to have them die. He claims to not be responsible.
