He is fiercely devoted to his mother, and views his mother's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-sister.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. In his 18th year, his parents were killed by a illithids raid, leaving Ratanák alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. By chance he met his sister recently and the two have been together since.

History: A child with a great deal of singing talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.
