History: Emerald hails from a village terrorized by giants. His homeland was ravaged by war and he spent much of his life rebuilding it. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: He barks his statements quickly and with little fuss. He prefers small words and is at his heart utilitarian. He is lazy, self-centered, vain, and jealous.

History: Manfred was born with his father's beautiful face. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the south were limited. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: He is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs.

Personality: He likes to brag about his accomplishments and constantly tries to beat others to the punch. He is accommodating to his spouse and as such limits his hospitality. He is brave and levelheaded in the face of danger and has proven himself a capable leader.

History: Hugh was raised in a hard working conservative environment. Like his mother and his brother before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Guard. He is searching for what he claims is his rightful reward.
