History: Raymond was raised in a hard working conservative environment. His father was a soldier and died while he was still young. Raymond was left his father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud; and a deep hatred of illithids

History: A powerful slaver made him what he is. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Layabout. He has never given up on his painting dream.
